March 4 - "Fat Tuesday" before Ash Wednesday, Olvera Street style. Children's Carnival with singing and dancing, a festive parade, crowning of "Little King and Queen", mask making workshops and piñata breaking.
Enjoy typical Mexican and Caribbean music, parades and family activities. The burning of "bad Spirits" El Mal. The crowning of Miss Olvera Street, the ambassador for Olvera Street and more. Throw and break cascarones, confetti filled eggshells, and enjoy the many shops and restaurants. Come in costume and win prizes!
